ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Monique Mekenkamp is former coordinator of the Asia Programme of the European Centre for Conflict Prevention (ECCP). Paul van Tongeren is founder and executive director of the ECCP. Hans van de Veen is senior journalist and coordinator of Environment and Development Productions an independent network of journalists.
