China's Overseas Foreign Direct Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean:

Enrique Dussel Peters and his colleagues continue their ongoing investigation of China's overseas foreign direct investment (OFDI) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in this latest collection, which examines for the first time OFDI's socioeconomic impacts on El Salvador, Guatemala, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago, as well as continues the debate on Mexico. The case studies show how complex and fragile the relationships between China and these countries are, especially in light of the enormous impact on LAC of the ongoing confrontation between the US and China.
